Sacramental Whine

Apr 5, 2019

In this episode, I had the honor of interviewing:

Archbishop Alan Kemp. He is the founder and first Presiding Bishop of the Ascension Alliance, a religious community, church, and umbrella organization. He is a professor of sociology, trained in clinical social work, and also earned a Doctor of Ministry degree from St. Andrew's College.  He is an educator, priest, bishop, writer, and I would add an all-around great guy.

In this episode we talk about:

  • His elevator speech? How he describes the Independent Sacramental Movement to someone who has no idea what it is.
  • He spoke about the Ascension Alliance and Ascension Theological College.
  • He spoke about his dissertation from St. Andrew’s College for his doctor of ministry degree.
  • He talked about his greatest challenge as a bishop.
  • And finally, he talked about his greatest blessing in ministry.

This episode is sponsored in part by Convergent Streams: The Premier ISM Magazine.  If you haven’t checked out Convergent Streams, I encourage you to do so, why?  Because it’s a great publication AND when you support Convergent Streams you are supporting a ministry within the Independent Sacramental Movement.  How can you go wrong with that?  Check it out at convergentstreams.org.  I like the print copy, but you can also get it in ebook format.

This episode is produced by the Community of Saint George (Young Rite).
